Detox Your Lungs in Weeks – Not Years!

Do you need to detox your lungs because you have abused them with years upon years of smoking cigarettes? If so, be warned, without consistent and thorough action your body can take years to fight through the tar and poisons you have inhaled. You need to approach this systematically and with a set program in mind or you could be developing lung disease in the near future rather than enjoying clear, healthy lung-fulls of life giving oxygen.

Fortunately, you can do a lung detox that will reduce this ‘cleanup’ time from years to a sleepy few weeks or months depending on how badly affected your lungs are from your smoking days. There are three main aspects of lung detoxification that you need to know about to really make the most of your health kick, and to stop you becoming a lung disease statistic.

Smoking Cessation

Trying to cleanse your lungs while you are still smoking is like emptying a sinking boat with a bucket. In the end, the tide will win because you are not fixing the root problem of the gaping hole in the boat … your smoking.

This is essential. You have to end your smoking habit or all your future lung detox efforts will be in vain. Quitting and doing a detox at the same time can be very helpful to many though as the motivation of feeling your lungs clearing can help you resist the urge to smoke again.

Tar Removal

The problem with getting the dangerous chemicals out of your lungs is that they are trapped inside due to a layer of tar and mucus that inhibits your immune system. The processes that expel dangerous toxins are blocked by this barrier, which can take years to slowly break down. All this time the toxins are getting into your lung tissue and your bloodstream, to wreak havoc and cause lung disease including cancer.

As such, you need to start getting rid of the tar in large amounts to free up your lungs from this irritating, airway-blocking menace.

Detoxification

Once you have thinned out this tar somewhat you can start to really job; removing the toxins through a lung detoxification program. This involves boosting your immune system and directly targeting your lungs with some dietary changes and other lifestyle modifications that can supercharge the detox process to free your lungs of the poisons that assault them.

How to Quit Smoking & Clean Your Lungs of Toxins

How to quit smoking is one of the biggest questions facing long-term smokers that have realized the damage they are doing to themselves and want to do something about it. However, the bigger question is actually what are you going to do AFTER you quit smoking!

This is because quitting smoking will not save you from all the poisons and tar that have been filling your lungs for so many years. You may think that you breathe out all of the rubbish you inhale, but the truth of the matter is that a substantial amount clings to the inside of your lungs.

While the body can get rid of some of this deadly mixture of ash, tar, and toxins, the amount you have smoked is often well beyond the natural healing abilities of the body for what can be many years after you stop smoking.

So what is the answer?

You must conquer the mental barriers that are addicting you to smoking and that inhibit your body’s attempts to clean your lungs of toxins! This is because the addiction to cigarettes is more than just the physical withdrawals that nicotine causes. It is also a deep and ingrained psychological addiction that has taken root in your mind. Focusing just on the physical symptoms and thinking that is the way to beat cigarettes will not work if you ignore your own mind’s powerful influence.

This also applies to cleaning your lungs of toxins that have been trapped in your chest causing infections and disease. With a poor mental state you firstly cannot stop the smoking that is causing them damage, but you also lower your body’s defenses against these poisons that can lead to many lung diseases; including the dreaded cancer. If you train your brain to be able to cope with what is a considerable change in lifestyle, cleanse your lungs and lower the stress levels that inhibit natural healing, you will find this a powerful way to get better lung health and quit smoking.

So do not just look at the physical when dealing with your health, make good use of the power of your mind and its influences on the physical body. For more information on how to achieve this to quit smoking and gain clean lungs, click below to super charge your lung health!

Avoid Lung Cancer with a Lung Detox Program

If you have been smoking for a number of years, whether you are still smoking or if you have quit already, you must still act to avoid lung cancer. Your lungs have been filled with toxins, many of which are carcinogens (chemicals that can cause cancer). This is the further compounded by the fact that the tar that you inhale smothers your lungs and traps these toxins inside the air sacs (called alveoli), where they can cause problems for year upon year, even after you have stopped smoking!

To combat this, you need to follow a lung detox program that strips away the terrible layers of tar, and also flushes the toxins and carcinogens out of your lungs. The reason this particular type of detox is so important is because the body alone can take over a decade to fully detox the lungs. That is a long time to be living with the fear of cancer hovering over your life. To stop yourself becoming a lung cancer statistic you must follow a good lung detox program, with three main points.

1. Stop Smoking – You have to stop being filled with tar and poisons before you can possibly make a dent in what is already there. Ending cigarette addiction is the first and most important part of lung cleansing. If you have already done so, well done because it is often not easy. IF you are still smoking you have to put down the cigarettes before you go any further.

2. Cleanse Your Lungs of Tar – The tar is what is trapping all those nasty substances inside your lungs where your immune system cannot reach and expel them. A combination of methods, exercises and vitamins can help you purge the lungs of this tar quickly.

3. Flush The Toxins From Your Body – Lastly you need to flush the toxins from your cleaner lungs by boosting your immune system, again continue with some specific vitamins and also through dietary changes that will supercharge the process. For more details on exactly how to undertake each of these topics, click below to find out more form the Complete Lung Detoxification Guide.

This guide will hold your hand and take you through the detox process step-by-step manner which will have you ending your fear of imminent lung cancer in weeks rather than waiting YEARS.

27 Reasons Why You Should Quit Smoking

I think most of us know deep down that smoking does not have a positive influence on our lives. However we can forget, so here is a little reminder, 27 good reasons why you should quit smoking.

1) You will significantly reduce your chances of having a heart attack, stroke, or lung cancer. Smokers can and do die younger.

2) You will be able to treat yourself more with the money you save from not smoking.

3) You will have more energy to enjoy life.

4) Your skin, lips and face will look and feel younger. Smoking can speed up the aging process of your skin by narrowing your skin's blood vessels and damaging the tissues that give the skin its strength and elasticity.

5) You will enjoy a better sex life. Smoking can affect your circulation causing less blood flow to the genitals, impairing arousal for both men and women.

6) You will enjoy a better conscience. Many animals are abused testing smoking products. By buying cigarettes you are supporting this.

7) Many people in poorer countries go hungry whilst their fields are full of tobacco crops. There is hunger in this world and your tobacco is grown at the expense of food.

8) You will sleep better. A John Hopkins study shows that nicotine withdrawal throughout the night often hampers sleep.

9) Your teeth will look (and be) healthier and whiter.

10) Enjoy your food more. Smoking hampers the taste buds, making food less tasty.

11) No more yellow fingers.

12) Lower your life insurance bills.

13) Healthier children. Passive smoking in children is well known to greatly increase their chances of getting asthma.

14) Be a good influence to your children. A child of a smoker is twice as likely to become a smoker themselves.

15) Increase fertility. Men who smoke have lower sperm counts and increased abnormalities in the sperm shape and function.

16) You will be more calm. The addiction causes anxiety that is only temporarily relieved by smoking.

17) You can get rid of smoker’s cough.

18) You and your house will smell better.

19) Your breath will smell better.

20) No more burning holes in your clothes and furniture.

21) No more standing outside in the cold to have a quick fix.

22) Pay less tax. A large proportion of the price of cigarettes goes to the tax man. You're contributing way more than you should be doing.

23) Less chance of getting Alzheimer’s disease. Smokers are 5 times more likely than non-smokers to suffer from it.

24) Cigarettes may have been a fashion accessory on the 1950's. But not any more. They are progressively viewed with more disdain as each and every day passes. In Britain in 1948, 82% of the male population smoked. This level dropped to 22% by the year 2007.

25) No more worrying about long flights where you can't smoke.

26) No more worrying about running out of cigarettes.

27) Quit now and your body will immediately begin the healing process, and reverse the damage that has been done. In just 24 hours your blood pressure and pulse will have dropped to normal, decreasing your risk of heart disease. In order to quit smoking you must believe you can do it.

How Hypnotherapy Can Help You Quit Smoking

Most people associate hypnotherapy with quitting smoking and weight loss. Although it is capable of treating far more things than these, this is what hypnotherapy is best known for. What a lot of people don't understand, is how hypnotherapy can help someone to quit smoking. Allow me to explain.
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic tool which allows a therapist to access the subconscious mind. A hypnotherapist guides (they cannot force this regardless of what the media sometimes claims) a person into a hypnotic trance. A hypnotic trance is actually a very natural state of mind that most of us fall into several times every day. It is a daydream like state, that we often experience when engrossed in the TV or a good book. A hypnotic trance is actually a similar state of mind to meditation, where you remain in complete control.

Once in a hypnotic trance, the conscious part of the mind is 'tuned down' allowing for greater access to the subconscious part of the mind.

The subconscious mind is the more automatic part of the mind. It is the part responsible for your habits and urges. People don't generally want to smoke consciously. If you ask a smoker, most will agree that they don't really want to smoke. They will often cite many reasons why smoking is bad, yet they still continue. Why is this?

It is often largely down to the fact that although consciously they don't want to smoke, subconsciously they do. It is their subconscious minds that are driving them to smoke. Like I said earlier, the subconscious part of the mind is responsible for all your automatic urges. It will nag you over and over again until it gets its way. In a contest between your conscious and subconscious, there is only one eventual winner – the subconscious mind.

That is why you can sometimes talk to a smoker until you are blue in the face about the dangers of smoking. They will probably genuinely agree with you that smoking is bad and that they don't really want to smoke. However it is their subconscious minds that are driving them to smoke. It is very difficult to effectively convince someone to quit smoking with a conscious conversation.
Of course you can consciously resist any urge for a while, but that is all you are doing – resisting. The drive remains strong to smoke, and it's only a matter of time before most people cave in. What you need to do is talk to the subconscious mind, and convince it that it no longer needs to smoke. This is where hypnotherapy can greatly help.

When most people begin smoking, they usually cough, and feeling sick and dizzy. The coughing is caused by your lungs' defense system trying to get rid of a foreign matter. The dizziness was caused because of the poison that you system was receiving.

Your subconscious mind was trying to preserve the bodys' delicate chemical balance by giving you signals to tell you that you were poisoning yourself. It was telling you to stop smoking. However because you persisted with smoking, your mind eventually became fooled into thinking that these noxious chemicals were needed for survival. It eventually began to believe that these new chemical levels were the normal chemical balance needed to keep you healthy. Soon messages began to be sent to urge you to smoke whenever the levels of nicotine and other poisons were low.

So because you began to regularly disturb your chemical balance with cigarettes, your subconscious mind began to take these levels as the norm. The balancing mechanism has now been disturbed and your subconscious mind now thinks that you need to smoke in order to be normal. Your younger mind may also have been programmed by repeated hints that smoking was cool and makes you look more worldly wise and mature.

Hypnotherapy can MASSIVELY help because it can reprogramme the subconscious mind into learning that smoking is a negative thing to do. A good hypnotherapist can communicate with the subconscious mind and tell it that it should stop urging you to smoke. They can tell the subconscious mind that it is actually damaging to your health, and that there is actually nothing cool about it at all.

The person receiving the therapy may still have some urges from time to time, and they still need to put the effort in and fight the addiction, but hypnotherapy makes this far easier to achieve. In Britain, the use of hypnotherapy for smoking cessation has been acknowledged by the British Medical Association as the most effective help available for those who wish to quit smoking.

If you need help quitting smoking, then we HIGHLY recommend Quit Smoking Hypnotherapy . It contains 5 hypnotic audio sessions and an eBook, that will help you before, during and after you have quit smoking.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 1.
Being a smoker is like cycling with stabilisers attached to the wheels, you can find it hard to be balanced without smoking. Now, when you cycle freely again, the natural balance returns. When people smoke, more than half of what they breathe is fresh air - pulled through the cigarette right down into the lungs. So if you feel any cravings you can instantly overcome them by taking three deeper breaths. Imagine breathing from that space just below your belly button. Whenever you do this you put more oxygen into your bloodstream. This means you can use deep breaths to change the way you feel instantly and give you power over the way you feel and help you let go of those old cravings and thus making it easier to stop smoking.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 2

Next, think now of all the reasons you don't like smoking, the reasons that it's bad and the reasons you want to stop smoking. Write down the key words on a piece of paper. For example, you experience breathlessness, it's dirty, filthy and your clothes smell, your friends and family are concerned and it's expensive, unsociable and so on. Then, on the other side of the paper, write down all the reasons why you'll feel good when you've succeeded in stopping. You'll feel healthier, you'll feel in control of your self, your senses are enhanced, your hair and clothes will smell fresher and so on. Whenever you need to, look at that piece of paper.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 3

Next, we are going to programme your mind to feel disgusted by cigarettes. I want you recall 4 times when you thought to yourself "I've gotta quit", or that you felt disgusted about smoking. Maybe you just felt really unhealthy, or your doctor told you in a particular tone of voice 'You've got to quit' or somebody you know was badly affected by smoking. Take a moment now to come up with 4 different times that you felt that you have to quit or were disgusted by smoking. Remember each of those times, one after another, as though they are happening now. I want you to keep going through those memories and make them as vivid as possible. The more vivid you make those memories, the easier it will be to stop smoking. See what you saw, hear what you heard and feel how you felt. I want you to take a few minutes now to keep going through those memories again and again, overlap each memory with the next until you are totally and utterly disgusted by cigarettes.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 4

Have a think to yourself about the consequences of you not stopping smoking now, if you just carry on and on. Imagine it, what will happen if you carry on smoking. What are the consequences? Imagine yourself in 6 months time, a years time, even 5 years time if you do not stop smoking now. Think of all the detrimental effects of not stopping right now and how a simple decision you make today can make such an impact on your future. Next, imagine how much better is your life going to be when you stop smoking. Really imagine it's months from now and you successfully stopped. Smoking is a thing of the past, something you used to do. Keep that feeling with you and imagine having it tomorrow, and for the rest of next week. In your mind, imagine stepping in to that non-smoking version of you and feel how it feels to be a non-smoker.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 5

Also, your mind is very sensitive to associations, so it's very important that you have a clear out and remove all tobacco products from your environment. Move some of the furniture in your house and at work. Smokers are accustomed to smoking in certain situations. So, for example, if you used to smoke on the telephone at work move the phone to the other side of the desk. Throw away ashtrays, old lighters and anything that you used to associate with smoking. Make your environment conducive to stopping smoking.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 6

Smokers sometimes use their habit to give themselves little breaks during the day. Taking a break is good for you, so carry on taking that time off - but do something different. Walk round the block, have a cup of tea or drink of water, or do some of the techniques on this programme. In fact, if possible drink a lot of fruit juice. When you stop smoking the body goes through a big change. The blood sugar levels tend to fall, the digestion is slowed down and your body starts to eject the tar and poisons that have accumulated. Fresh fruit juice contains fructose which restores your blood sugar levels, vitamin C which helps clear out impurities and high levels of water and fibre to keep your digestion going. Also try to eat fruit every day for at least two weeks after you have stopped. Also when you stop, cut your caffeine intake by half. Nicotine breaks down caffeine so without nicotine a little coffee will have a big effect. Drink 8-10 glasses of water (ideally bottled) to help wash out your system.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 7

You were used to using cigarettes to signal to your body to release happy chemicals, so next we are going to programme some good feelings into your future. Allow yourself to fully remember now a time when you felt very deep ecstasy, pleasure or bliss, right now. Take a moment to recall it as vividly as possible. Remember that time - see what you saw, hear what you heard and feel how good you felt. Where abouts in your body were those feelings, imagine turning them up and spreading them through your body to make them more intense. Keep going through the memory, as soon as it finishes, go through it again and again, all the time squeezing your thumb and finger together. In your mind, make those images big and bright, sounds loud and harmonious and feelings strong and intensified. We are making an associational link between the squeeze of your fingers and that good feeling. Okay, stop and relax. Now if you have done that correctly when you squeeze your thumb and finger together you should feel that good feeling again. Go ahead do that now, squeeze thumb and finger and remember that good feeling. Now we're going to programme good feelings to happen automatically whenever you are in a situation where you used to smoke but now you stop smoking. So, next I'd like you to squeeze your thumb and finger together, get that good feeling going and now imagine being in several situations where you would have smoked, but being there feeling great without a cigarette. See what you'll see hear and take that good feeling into those situations without a need for a cigarette. Imagine being in a situation where someone offers you a cigarette and you confidently say 'No thanks, I don't smoke'. And feel fantastic about it!

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 8

Get social support. Your commitment to stopping smoking for the rest of your life can be made much easier by talking about it to friends and family and letting them support you. They will congratulate you on doing so well too! You really did stop smoking.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 9

Be aware of making excuses for yourself. Some people talk themselves into smoking, especially if they encounter a stressful situation and in the past they used to deal with it by smoking. If those old thoughts pop into your head, shout the word "STOP" in your head, to stop the thoughts from progressing. Nicotine just stresses your body more and is like that itch that can never be properly scratched; the more you smoke, the more you have to. So say "STOP" and steer clear of old slippery slopes.

Powerful Stop Smoking Hint 10

Reward yourself. Congratulate yourself. Feel how good it feels to stop smoking and be a non-smoker. Treat yourself each time you get past a certain milestone; the first week or first month, the six month target. Let yourself know that you did something really special here. Keep on using your brain, stretching it and helping your self, by running through these exercises time after time; you are sure to be able to make it easier and easier and successfully stop smoking for good.
